OK.. The first post is kind of the irrational and emotional self opinion of my work, here is my attempt to be a little bit more professional about it:

I come from a mom and a dad that have always been interested in photography. In truth, its amazing that it didn't catch on quicker with me, but I guess waiting has never been my strong suit, and since my earlier days would have meant that I'd have to photograph on film, I'd never have the patience to wait to see how they came out on the negatives or on paper.

About 9 years ago Panasonic came out with their first digital cameras, and I was doing tech support for fax machines. Most of our support was PC based, but they didn't want to totally leave Apples/Macs out. I was the only one at the company that knew anything about Apple/Macintosh computers at the time, so I helped back them up on support issues with those computers.

After doing that for about a year and a half, new cameras came out, and they needed more support for the digicams, so they sent me my first call without any warning. From that point on, I did my best to make sure that I fully understood the ins and outs of those cameras, and eventually of photography.

About the time that Panasonic started releasing its new Leica lens and superzoom cameras, I started working my way up to team leader, and eventually lead technician. As the lead technician I took it upon myself to not only learn the technical aspects of photography, but the artistic aspects as well.

I have since started photographing nature, macros, bands and live events, parties, models. I also teach evening classes in digital photography in Bucks County, PA.

I need to find some paying jobs so I can get better equipment to get even better paying jobs, and also to be able to do some of the projects I have in mind.

I'd like to do a photography humor project, a sci-fi/fantasy project, a horror project, and a few other stories that I envision as almost being like movies or music videos, except I want to photograph them.

I have been building my port for the past year, and no matter how much I shoot, I feel like a beginner. Part of that is because my lighting setup isn't what I want it to be. Part of it is just plain insecurity. But I also know that I have to start making money at this because bills don't pay themselves..

I am hoping that beginning models will want to pay me for shoots. I am also hoping that eventually fashion and other magazines or periodicals notice me and want to give me a shot at shooting some pictorials for them.

I have to learn to chase after them more, as I am probably a little too laid back for my own good. But as I am getting more desperate for cash, my drive to do so has increased greatly.

Some people say that you have to pick one thing you are good at and become a master of that thing.. I don't really want to do that. I want to master everything. I want to do macros and nature photographry, sports photography (even though I hate sports), fashion, every variation of nudes, editorial, travel, portraiture, event photography, band photography, under water photography, astro photography, infrared photography, you name it, I want to do it... I want to be the Master of the Photographic Universe.. I want to get good enough at it, that even if I chose to shoot porn (not really planning on it, though), even a stuck up porn hating religious zealot would look at it and go, "Porn is disgusting..Porn should be banned...but, uh, yeah...That is truly artistic!"

Aside from that, I just want to have fun, do whatever feels natural, and listen to the universe's instruction manual as it drones on in my head..
